Abstract
This paper describes STEMS (Stand and Tree Evaluation and Modeling System), the current computerized Lake State tree growth projection system. It presents the program structure, discusses the growth and mortality components, the management subsystem, and the regeneration subsystem. Some preliminary results of model testing are presented and an application is discussed.
